Alright .. I think we need an Oil pump Dyno comp.... who has an oil pump dyno!

My oil pumps higher volume!!!
Well My oil pumps higher pressure!!!
Well My oil pumps titanium!!!

Finally ramon enters the argument....

"Somewhere a WRC engine is not running because of the oil pump my car has"

More like

"the exxon valdez had its primary oil pump purchased by a sikkunt"

you would ultimately want stiff but not too stiff rear suspension to prevent the rear from bogging down too much.

if it squats down at the back too much, you lose drive from the fronts, which is a waste in an awd system.

think of a big mofo heavy cardboard box....which is easier? pushing? pulling? or both?

agreed too stiff at the rear is bad, but by the same token you want to minimise weight transfer to allow the fronts to pull you along until it levels out...

what was the 60ft time on that run polar?

standard replacement cossie pump is a standard pump just blue printed to optimise it to ideal factory specs, so realistically it wont flow anymore then a well built normal pump, although cossie have just released a high flow pump with milled out housings which provide an extra 20% flow over the blue-printed model.

The Cosworth pump is going to be slightly more reliable than the stock pump, because the gurus at Cosworth have tickled the mass produced oil pump to be better and more reliable overall. The pump is also supposed to maintain higher pressure at the top end of the rpm range, which again, improves reliability.

I have one, because at the time it was only 100 or so more than the stock pump, which I think was well worth the extra cost

If I was crankin out 600 at the hubs, I'd be wanting some slightly looser bearing clearances but more oil pressure and flow from a higher volume pump, such as the JUN or the new modified Cosworth pumps. These pumps of course, cost a LOT more than the stock or modified stock pump, but they do the job better for the application.
