hmmmm I guess some people have not heard that in reality factory height can often provide more cornering grip because it provides superior weight transfer to the outside wheels. This is why many coilover systems are not better and can be far worse than just koni's and whiteline springs like I have. The only benefit of super low is a slightly lower center of gravity and reduced dirty air under the car. Most of the time though I will take superior corner grip FTW! PS I have RS2 tyres so I only brake for roundabouts if I want to test my tail lights hehaha

You also get better weight transfer front to rear for launching. Coilovers bounce as they are usually too hard.

Note the improved grip from a soft rear shock setting vs standard bugeye. Also helps when you launch off the limiter and the other guy doesnt.

LOL My car got a 13.4 and the bug got a mid 14. Not too bad for my first pass at the drags and a 6 speed which requires 5 gearchanges. I found out after that my boost was peaking at 15psi and dropping to 10psi by 6000 so my top end was the shitzor.

Simon that's some sensible stuff you have just typed. The Dyno Queens will be up in arms over that...BTW optimum height for handling on a GC8 is 330mm front and rear. Go much below that and as far as I am concerned your just another show pony that gets chopped on corners

Whiteline have just released a kit that lowers the Roll Centre on GC/D models, if your interested see John at Wheels World.
