Are HD rear sway bar mounts worth getting or not needed?

Other suspension mods i have are:

Whiteline 24mm rear swaybar
Whiteline 22mm front swaybar
STi pink lowered springs
Hypertec anti lift kit
Whiteline HD alloy rear swaybar links

I hear that over time the body can crack without the HD mounts.

I've never heard that. Surely if you have the stock mounts on, the mount will break before the "body" does ?

Ive heard that pigs can now fly.

I have heavy duty mounts and think they are good. Also run your sway bar as hard as it can go.

Was reading about them on Rexnet and most people say they dont feel much/any difference with them, they are just stronger.

Will prob just run the 24mm rear bar with the stock mounts and replace them if they break.

All the parts i listed above are just stock piled atm, only thing that is on the car right now are the lowered springs. Going to invest in some Whiteline steering rack bushes and alloy HD front swaybar links too, then do it all in the one shot.
Should be awesome to drive with everything on, cant wait!

I asked in another thread if the heavy duty mounts are needed and the consensus was that yes you do need them otherwise the body around the mount breaks....True or not who knows but there must be a reason they manufacture a heavy duty mounting bracket?

The stock mount is only held on by 2 bolts (10mm or 12mm) which im sure will give before the chassis does. They manufacturer HD mounting brackets so the bracket itself doesnt twist, distort and break, especially when running a thicker bar.

I have never heard of the body around the mounting bracket(s) breaking, but it is hard to believe that the body will give way before the mounts themselves or the bolts holding them on do. And if anything, HD mounts will only make it easier to break the body, not prevent it.

Hey guys,

Didnt want to start a new thread so i thought i would re-use this one, my question seems relavent enough ..

On a MY03 GD chassis, will a 4 point H brace fit fine with an ALK and the spacers added between the subframe and the chassis? Or will further spacers need to be added between the H brace and the ALK?

Will fit and you shouldn't need extra spacers.
