I'm looking for the same sorta thing but a bit more power. so far my choices for the 2.5 are AVO 450s, BLOUCH Dominator 3.0 guys on NASIOC swear by it. and gtps02.

tending to lean towards the blouch simply cus not many aussies have gone that way compared to the others... emo styles , non conforming etc

Don't bother with the GTPS01 mate.....the GTPS02's spool up is excellent on a 2.5, you won't be dissapointed. The 01 is probably close to a VF34 in terms of size & flow...it will run out of puff at about 5000-5500 rpm.

I went a VF34/P20 on my 2.5 but was seriously looking at the GTPS02....the higher compression ratio in the WRX 2.5 helps the GTPS02 spool well.

bojan07 - I'm running a TD06-20G from Blouch in my 2.0L STi (avail from Troy at www.prospeedracing.com.au) which has the 7cm housing (smaller than Forced Perf type) and Garrett wheel (so less lag). It appears to work well so long you have the supporting mods (FMIC, CAI, fuel pump, injectors, headers) and hits full boost earlier than other TD06-20G's which I've compared too with exact same setups. Full boost is at 4400rpm vs my previous stock VF34 setup with TMIC at 3800rpm. If you want higher hp in the long run I would recommend the TD06 over the TD05 however you have the 2.5L so it would make the power you want anyway.

ok guys i realise that to make 300 hp+ i'd need to upgrade my intercooler, should i upgrade intercooler first to something like the processwest front mount one and then buy a turbo after that, or do the turbo and intercooler after, i cant really buy both at same time as it would b lots of $$$$$$$$ n i dont really have that much atm

Cooler before turbo.

STi top mount cooler + water spray setup will be fine for the power you want.

Either way your going to need a retune post turbo or FMIC upgrade, which ever you do 2nd, budget for a retune if you choose to do either later down the track....
IMO, find out off ASG how much a retune is and if its fairly cheap (eg. $150-200) then get your turbo on now with a verso tune then do your FMIC later & retune to extract the full potential of the 20g.

Upgrading to a FMIC later will result in fairly minimal tuning time/changes so this may be the better option than turbo & retune later.

Also, if it were me, i'd be following Feral's list of mods very closely as his beast is making some serious mumbo for a basic EJ255.
