That 2.7 made 275kw running EcuTek. Last I heard it was still running fine but that was ages ago.

Haha yes the AWD kills the RWD for traction but his Stroker build should be seeing him make 650NM and around 450HP at the wheels or so he says, then he later plans on supercharging it, once he gets the brakes/suspension upgraded to suit lol

As for finance being approved yes it has been, but by the time i got back to dealership the car was sold subject to finance so i find out this afternoon if the buyers finance was good or not.....

As for huge mods for the 2.5 STI, yes i wanna go big but there isnt unlimited funds haha
Will start with a exhaust, tune, fuel pump and injectors. then settle with that, untill i can work out what to do next, so far thinking a 2.8L stroker or Flat6 but like i said before all depends on $$$ lol

Yep, fail.

Doesn't rev, and who knows how thin the bores are to get big enough pistons in there?

2.5 litre struggles to handle big boost as it is because of the block, 2.8 litre won't be any better.

I was at the lunch bar last week and noticed Zoom magazine (I think), had a bugeye with a 3.3lt in it. Might be worth grabbing that and seeing whats been done.

What are you trying to achieve? Do you want the car for track, drags, road car, etc?

You don't need a stroker to make big power, it's not a V8. A basically built 257 will easily make 450HP (bottom end with cams and some head work).

All this just to prove to your mate that you can keep up? I can think of better ways to spend the money Learn to drive the car for a start.

me and my friends just have fun running each other and then trying to beat who ever wins lol.
As for budget theres not realy amount yet, il work out whats best bang for buck and then go from there....
If i can make 450hp with bottom end, cams and head work, with a exhaust, fuel pump, injectors and tune then id be happy. what sort of price would i be looking at for that ?

You can make 450HP without having to resort to a 2.8 litre stroker, thats for sure.

Yeh I was looking at the 2.7 stroker but was told the bores on the 257 were thin enough as it is. Stroking it will only lead ti issues, how deep are your pockets. Fuk there's enough issues without stroking the fukn thing.
