I'm getting a set of Zetum ZU37's tomorrow on the rex ($119each!), they are a Kumho KU37 rebadged so will be interesting to see what they're like. I only needed something mid range as my rex only gets driven about 1500kms a year now, so I'm sure they'll outlast my use!!
Will report back tomorrow after I put them through their paces.

Hey guys
Got a price off a mate for a set of KU36 tyres in 265/35/R18 for just shy of $300 a tyre. I've been reading through this thread and everyone rates the Kumho's. My questions are as follows: If you run KU36's, what kind of mileage are you getting out of them? I am probably going to need to run some negative camber to fit these 9.5" wide rims under the guards, how badly will they wear? Anyone running -2 to -4 degrees camber with these tyres? Is that price good? Thanks |

I have KU36's now and they are fricken awesome! I've gone around corners sometimes purely trying to get them to break loose but they just keep gripping and surprise the hell out of you. I've struggled to even get them to squeel. Hard to give you an idea of average mileage but I've had mine for around 10k and they still look like new as far as wear goes. As for camber, that would all depend on your driving style im guessing? though at that sort of range you would need to drive very hard to get an even wear. They are a directional tyre as well which limits your choice on rotating.

^^^My KU36's don't have left and right written on them and John @ Wheels World said rotate them however you want as that's the kind of tyre they are.
Kymbo they got plenty of grip and are good for the odd pan/track day and street noise is fine, I prob won't get them again as I want to try some Direzza Star Specs or R888's but they're a good tyre for the price and wear well. Going on the price of around low $200 for 235/40/18 is say that price of $300 you got is fairly good.
