ah k
well this is probly gonna sound like a dumb question but is it possible to get 400+ hp from a 2.2l or should i be lookin at a 2.5?
if so how do i do it :S

Yeah its possible, but its where in the Rev range you get 400hp thats the question.
2.5 is easy. subaru make the 2.5 block.
making it strong enough to take 400hp all day everyday is easy too, just expensive.

Cams + ported heads + TD06-20g = close to 400hp.
Easily achievable with the 2.2

But as said above,
Cams+ TD06-20G turbo = 400hp @ 5.5-6k RPM

orright i think im gonna have to get some more opinions on this...
i only have bout 10-12k to play with atm so its goin to a work in progress and im tryin to keep it as my daily driver as much as i can. the only thing is the current engine is almost shot so thats going to have to be one of the first things i upgrade.

Buy my engine (built 2.5 and built heads) and turbo setup (GT40R) easy 550 hp atw on pump... Cost more than 12 k though...

But i can do layby

a) costs more but torque is your friend
c) unlimited really but depends on EJ207 (Vf34/35/36/37, TD05...) or EJ22 (VF30,39/43/48, TD05/06)
