Yep, dozens of people track their GC's with factory 4 pots.
Like you said but, slotted rotors and better pads.

Yep will hold up fine just make sure you get some decent brake fluid and like you said good pads. Make sure your pad choice won't eat your rotors.

I'm no track expert but some AHG skidpan work would benefit you before heading out on the track. AHG have tuning sessions which allow you to test new mods out etc.. and ask advice from driving instructors, whilst you play on their long track.

yea i saw that the other day when i went down there to do a few laps in their v8s :O amazing fun recommend it for anyone into their v8's
just some clarification my idea of good pads is bendix ultimate because thats the most expensive i could find last time i replaced em but i didnt do much research back then. i know you get wat you pay for with pads especially. are there better ones thatll fit on the factory 4pots?

A 207 will not need engineering. Correct me if im wrong, but i believe it only needs engineering when the displacement of the car is being changed eg. 2000cc changed to 2500cc

Well best way is to get to know your cars limits and know your limits as a driver. Can't do that safely on the roads
