True, but i've had probs with my car due to warranty service being done incorrectly eg: wrong oil/coolant.
Want her to not break again...

Mine sits at 3300-3400rpm at 100km/h. Close ratio box FTW

You may have a 4.11 or 4.444 ratio gearbox in yours? Something out of a JDM STI or Type RA perhaps?

That's 4.11 ratio. So JDM box.

Downside to a high ratio box swap is the odo/speedo are offset a bit more, I drive about 10% faster than my speedo reading because I didn't get the sensor matched up for my 4.444 gearbox. Also means my car appears to get more kms out of a tank of fuel when it actually doesn't, and has more kms on it overall than it should! >.<

Ah..
Yeah so you know then that you already have a diff, and as said the standard is 3.45 (ie 3.45:1). So going to 4.11's changes your overall gearing.

There is actually about a 20% difference between them. Meaning instead of getting say 80 out of first gear you would 74. Likewise for the other gears.
It also means, then, that you'd be revving about 20% more at the same speeds. So instead of say 2200rpm on the freeway it'd be closer to 2600rpm. 1st will accel better than 1st used to but you have to shift to 2nd sooner.

Because you have heaps of gears in the middle, the main implications would be
- better off the mark and through first - which can be worth while
- higher revving, more fuel consumption
- shorter gearing so you need higher gears sooner.

found that on a random forum..
what im reading..is that true?
