Default Mods for Bugeye. Your thoughts...

Hi,
I am just organising mods for my bugeye '02.
Have sorted exhaust, diffs, clutch, turbo, and am lowering her.
Am bit undecided regarding turbo. What, if any is the plus for twin scroll?
Have no idea yet re cams. Suggestions appreciated.
Also, anything I've missed that should be done I would appreciate any advice.
Thanks
Nat

Twinscroll comes on song earlier.

Cams require the motor to be removed from the car, all the rest of your ideas are bolt on's, which is cheaper.
plus these days you can get an easy 300HP without cams.

Why are you doing the diffs? Best off doing your suspension first i.e. sway bars, braces, bushes, decent lowering system (springs and shocks or coilovers), before you spend money on the diffs.

Have you done your ECU?

Forget the cams on your EJ205, waste of money.. best off building a 207 with heads/cams and dropping that in if you're going to spend the 3-4 grand required to pull the motor out, service heads, fit cams, and put it back together.

Should have saved your money and put it towards a GD STi
instead of pouring money into a stocky.

Can always still do it, just sell some bits you've bought + your
car and get the GD STi.

More value for money as you get brembos, 6 speed, 207 and the
rest of the STi fruit with extra power and a good starting platform.

That's IMO anyway so good luck whichever route you take.

... front end conversion??

awww come on someone had to say it!!!

imo a bigger turbo, injectors, clutch and verso would get you a decent whack of power.

Step 1: Sti turbo back exhaust. Be installed on car ASAP.

Step 2: Perth-WRX sticker. On her already

Step 3: Diffs and clutch upgrade very soon.

Fun to see things finally starting to happen.

I have found the biggest increase for me was a tune, i went autronics but several people have got happiness with a verso.
I have also bolted on a VF34 and am reasonably happy with it for now.
Will have to do injectors and a few other bits later in the year.

Mine was as doughy as until i put the turbo and computer on, and that has livened it up somewhat

I have also found that they love to rub if you go too low with them and have lifted mine a little since then.
Depends how much you drive it as to how much it will annoy you.
