Ecutek is just a reflash of the stock ECU, so you will still be using your mass air flow sensor.

Ideally you would want to at least run it up on the dyno so the tuner can check it's not knocking or boost spiking. If that's not an option it would be a bit of a risk blasting it around the track all night.

haha, yeah I know what Ecutek is, some may say I'm lucky not to have blown my engine already

Might have to just go for a look and eat hotdogs.

if a mod will improve efficency, then it would need a retune to capitalise on it.

improved efficency = more air = needs more fuel = needs a tune!

otherwise, there would be no value in fitting the headers.

keep it off boost/load and you will be safe.
