Default Replacing 99 WRX Struts

hey all

just got my KYW AGX struts for my 1999 WRX today and looking at fitting them up this weekend

does anyone know what i have to remove to get to the rear top strut tower?

the rear seat or parcel shelf ?

remove the rear seat. get in there with a fiddly little 12mm spanner or ratchet. if you want to make things a bit easier for yourself you can remove the seatbelt spooler but make sure you put it back at the right tension. leave the rear parcel shelf in, you'll spend more time pulling it out than the time it will save you to do the job. It can also help to chop any bits of plastic out the way to make a little bit extra room for your hands
