My RDA slotted / A1RM setup has been on since Sep 08. They have done about 10,000km and a few skid pan sessions. Pads have about 60% left. Rotors have approx 1mm of wear on each face.

If you're not planning too much track, go some DBA4000's and something a little higher spec than basic street pads (Lucas, DS2000's?). If it's just occasional skid pan stuff, it won't hurt and DBA's will give more longevity...

Hey Guys, after a little brake advice

My stocktacular pig will be going in for a service in 2 weeks time and will need new font discs and pads. It is used purely as my daily but I am hoping to start attending P-Diddy track days, skid pans etc. in the near future. (I am just too embarressed to bring a completely stock car with no rumble )

Brakes West have quoted me:
RDA slotted $145 ea
EBC Greens $285 set
Total $575

Based on Reviews and Value for money though, I am really considering:
Protex Redhat Drilled & Slotted = $165 ea
QFM A1RM's $127 posted
Total $457

Comments / Advice welcome

Update: Just found out from Leasing company that any "upgraded" parts replacing OEM are not covered and I wont be able to recoup costs (even though they are cheaper than OEM.....)

Need to make sure the invoices do NOT say performance

LOL

Can you grab them locally in Perth? Or only from GSL Rally Sport?

Pretty sure he will send them to your door. He is great to deal with from all reports. I cant say specifically that they are a better pad but others have said they are.

Cheers.

Not a drama, I can put it through as a miscellaneous 'replacements pads suit xx' if need be!
