its that time so i thought i would try a different oil as im not over the moon with my current choice of penrite premium synthetic sin10 , i have found my engine to be pretty noisy and it does not like the cold. i have used motul before and was happy with that but i thought i would see if there is something els (to suite EJ207 , 60,000k's)

ALSO! , gear box oil , i have been a little neglectful in this area so i think its time for some love, not having any dramas but you never know (to suite 4.444 with 100,000k's )

I think Doug has some Total stuff which is meant to be pretty mint.

I used Pennzoil GT Performance 10w40 fully synthetic last oil change, love it - and it's cheap as.

As for Gearbox oil, Castrol Multitrax hasn't proved me wrong. Although get some Redline stuff if you can justify spending that wee bit extra.

Any decent 10W40 full synthetic will work.. its not rocket science. Of course some oils are better than others, but for street performance use, I reckon they're much the same.. as long as its fully synthetic and the correct grade, it should be sweet. I usually just go with whatever ASG put in mine.. they built and tuned it, so they can put their recommended oil in.

As for gearbox, currently using STechnic recommended Petro-Canada Traxon. It's about the same cost as decent Motul or Castrol, and I can only comment on street driving but its smooth and easy to shift even when cold.
