Mine only squeal whilst cold under light braking.

Describe the symptoms of squeaking a bit more? Happens when not on the brake driving around? Are you sure its from the brake and not the suspension?

I'm fairly sure it's from the breaks, as when they're really hot the squeaking goes away but I honestly don't think it's to do with any glazing. it's not the rears rosco, it's definately coming from the fronts, but ive noticed it's only from the right side, I previously thought it was both because of the noise rebounding off walls and being heard on the passenger side while driving. I'll upload a vid when I get home so you guys have a better idea.

Chamfer the leading edge of all the pads to stop it if you tried other methods to no avail.

Looking at the Bendix Site their pads have no chamfer out of the box.

ross my mechanic already chucked some anti-squeak coating in there, worked for about 5 minutes then failed.

here is the video, now you can understand how annoying the sound is.
note that it is louder when passing on the drivers side, confirming my thoughts before.

The chamfer is the ramp at either end of the pad material in that photo.

Do you get any brake pedal pulsation when pulling up to a stop? It sounds like a disc with excessive runout.

ah ok, (pardon my ignorance) what is the chamfer, will it stop the sound 100 percent, and will it have an adverse effect on braking performance?

also can i diy?

Pretty much sanding down the edges of the friction material

After looking a your vid....It sounds like a disk with excessive runout to me.

You can try the following:

Remove the front wheels & unbolt the calipers....Remove the disks & wire brush the axle hub (where the disk mounts up) and also wire brush the inside of the disk hat where it meets the hub & then reassemble...Ensure to tighten the wheel nuts opposite to opposite to get them even.

Reasoning? You may just have some rust/paint buildup causing on disk to not sit flat on the hub inducing disk runout (a wobble simply).

Also look at the discs and see if you can notice any color variance on the disk faces, runout usually shows up as a hot spot on the disc.

yeah there was some colour variance when i checked the other day after giving the pads some, and there's usually slight colour variance anyway on the right rotor whenever i check it.

i'll give that a try tomorrow rossco, then get back to you.

cheers for the help thus far.
