O.K. A little update:
After speaking to TRP (Tony Rigoli) over east, this is the list of components I'm going with: CP pistons - going 1mm overbore (93.00mm) Manley H beam rods (safe for 700hp @ crank & better wrist pin oiling than I beams) Acl Race bearings Arp head stud kit ^^ That's the bottom end sorted....Top end (heads). Crower 272 cams Crower valve springs & titanium retainers Component total thus far is $2111.00 Aud. Leaving $4389 in the kitty to cover Gaskets, block prep, head rebuilds, oil pump, w/pump, vernier cam gears, light weight flywheel, clutch & sundries. I'm allowing for a total of $6.5k all said and done.

More information on Crower valve spring package please and agent you're sourcing through.
We should both delete our posts, as the source is written all over his images =/

My pricing is based on US purchasing through RSP (free shipping) with their current pricing, I will try to source these components in Aus through several suppliers, price dependent/matched of course.
RSP Crower 205/207 valve spring info: Designed for high rpm, BC valve springs are wound from only the highest grade, super clean, chrome silicone alloy and feature proprietary processing procedures for consistent pressures. BC titanium retainers are CNC machined from 6AL4V round bar titanium to exacting tolerances. Spring Pressure: BC1600 Seat: 1.420"(36mm) @ 60 lbs / Open: 1.000" @ 160 lbs / Coil Bind: 0.860" (21mm-no machine work required for 11mm lift cams )

I figure I might as well do them once & do them properly....262/264 is too close to stock (I believe v6 Sti cams are 250-ish duration)

Are these cams going to fit the V6 heads, or are the non-avcs cams the same for all WRX/Sti models??

Gav they're a drop in fit for V5&6 Sti heads....
99-> wrx heads require different/ modified valve guides & springs to run over 10.00mm of lift, v5/6 is already prepared for this from the factory.

Planned con-rod mod to add additional piston cooling (adding oil squirters).
This is tried & tested in other boxer engines, namely VW (air cooled) & Porsche flat 6 turbos. An additional groove is machined in each side of the bigend journal to direct the oil, once it has done it's job at the bigend bearing, to the underside of the piston crowns. Where it will assist with pulling heat from the ring lands & piston crown. Modded Porsche rod: A ball end mill would be used so the groove will be --U-- shaped not a 'V' as in the above pics ( A 'V' could create a stress riser). This is how it's done
