Nothing wrong with decaps, I tuned mine and it idles and runs like stock. As mentioned earlier just make sure you get them flow tested and serviced.

I know it's a 2.5 but Rexpress had a blouch dom 3(stock location gt3076) on his stock engine sti and it made some nice power/torque(330hp/500+Nm). He may have been restricted with his top end due to the stock sized CAI maxing out the MAF sensor, so a MAP based ECU may be able to do a lot better.

Injector on the left is a scoob yellow top. Injector on the right is a stock RX7. That is a shit injector.

^^ That image is misleading.

That injector is one of the 2 non difussed 800cc secondary injectors, they are only used above 3000rpm when on boost & rely on the fuel hitting the 90 degree bend in the inlet port to atomise the fuel....They are off at idle. The primaries injectors are 500cc cc 4 hole difusser type.

^^ Correct, but just an image for noob comparisons to be made if someone is actually flowtesting their injectors to different spray patterns.

Personally, people are interested in these flow patterns which they don't understand and don't understand how the fuel travels in the engine anyways.

But a nice fluffy v pattern is ok for scoobs.
