You can buy plugs that connect straight into you're factory harness,
then all you have to do is wire you're deck plug into the plug you have purchased to suit you're vehicle!

Its all colour to colour too

I'd say constant and accesories are around the wrong way

Sorry to beat this again. Just taken it out and have found that the wiring loom from the radio unit has these coloured wires, 2 red, a blue, a yellow, a brown and a grey.
Which of these do I connect to the yellow of the car?

Have you got the wiring diagram for the head unit & the car? Match them up that way.

Google it.

^^ whs or some cd players/radios will have a sticker on the back or top of the housing showing the pinouts.

If you can locate that sticker/diagram then you should be sorted.

Pulled the unit out with one end of the wiring plug. It's not 2 reds but 1 red and 1 red/black. This is looking like it's a little more complicated than switching the red and yellow wires around.
