i just want the car to be able to take a beating when i want to have some fun in the early hours of the morning and when im coming up to some round a bouts, but most of all some track work

Maybe if you spend another 10k upgrading to STi spec running gear......Kato was on the money before. If you have money to spend then put it towards an STi and only spend money getting this running again. You will kick yourself in the future if you don't.

i only have 10k, but to get this thing going its going to be expensive anyway, or can some one find an alternative that is easy n cheap

im trying to save for a house

Cheapest options would be either purchase a second hand block through skull88 or getting your mechanic of choice to source a back to factory option.

The cheapest alternative is to buy the 207 shortie, tune to suit, smile on you dial

Remove engine.
dismantle engine.
Install new pistons.
Reinstall engine.
Sell car

Replace with sti.

Done.

EDIT: Or possibly replace with a second hand 2.5 long motor.
Either way, if you want to do with it what you mentioned previously, an STI (or even evo) is the cheapest/most viable option.
