Default Powering up a cluster

Hey lads, is there a possible way to drop 12v onto a cluster to power it up and see how many k's are on it? Just to save me having to stuff around swapping them out.

find the 12v power acc and ground pinouts and just pin it up and power it on or if you have a plug even easier

Be careful. I tried this with a cluster at one point and released its smoke.

Takes 5 - 10 minutes to do a swap over. Much easier and safer.

A lot of the pins only want 5V. I've looked at trying to power one up on the bench and all the replies I got was that it would become a smoke machine.

Just pull all your facia out, leave 1 bolt holding the dash in, then its a 5 minute check on the new one.

It will work, I think the door open warning light pin out is different.

yes,
The ABS light will stay on tho.
05-07 cluster will not plug into a 01-04 loom.(01-04 plug is too narrow)
