Default gtpumps turbo upgrade

hey guys,
Went in asg today to talk about upgrading my turbo and all the supporting mods etc. after long research on here i decided that the gtps02 (td05-20g) would be best suited to me and my goals. my dilemma however is when nick asked sean how much power that would net me..he said 250-260hp..
hmm that seems a bit off considering ive already got 226hp atw with exh and verso..

Heres the proposed layout
gtps02-$1600
PW TMIC-$999
fuel pump-~$130
turbo install-350
tune-250
so..by doing a few calculations on my ancient abacus, total is ~$3330 for 24-34 more hp. seems a bit shit for that money..maybe im a stinge..

am i missing something? does that seem right to you guys? any help would be appreciated..

OH and btw my goals for the car(for now) is just a quick daily driver with around 300-320hp with focus on midrange power and torque. its an 06 wrx. if u have suggestions of alternative routes im all eyes.

P.S. if theres more you need to know more pls tell me this is like my 3rd post EVER haha uber-noob atm

320 from a standard 06 engine will be pushing it I think, probably close to the limit, injector's will be on the limit.

The only think I would change is the TMIC.

Id go for a 02-07 STI TMIC. Or 08+ STI TMIC if you can find one.

it'll be cheaper than a PW unit. and the 08+ STI ones are even larger.

Horse power means nothing....torque is everything!

You'll get a decent torque gain from the turbo swap....you won't make 300hp ath though.

You should get 190kw (255hp) atw, maybe more, depends on boost and tune.
The limitations will be the stock injectors, upgrade to 550cc or more to get around 210kw. but that will be at hi revs, no effect at mid range.
Yes the torque figures are more important than power for a street car. You should get about 390Nm peak.
For an easy to drive daily, consider the smaller size turbo GTPS01 to get similar torque, lower power, but the torque will be at lower rpm.
The PW TMIC is good but if you can get a STI one cheaper that would be the choice.

yeah thats soo weird..i go on here all the time and i take alot of what you guys say seriously..but then i go to asg and they say some things completely different to here..IM SO CONFUSED!!

like first example is the STI top mount..nick said only 06-07 sti tmic fit the 06-07 wrxs..you guys say 02-08 work..

secondly nick also said the injectors didnt need upgrading. :S .i budgeted for that anyways..
i do wanna upgrade the injectors and put them in the same time as the turbo. i was planning power enterprise 660cc injectors they were for $800 or something like that. too Over-the-top for my situation?

2.5 blue injector's are 550cc's anyway, so they should be good for at least 240kw, as I said, and Explicit said also, realibilty of the engine will be the limiting factor

The reality is the 2.5 base has limitations in place. The turbo choice you have would give the numbers your chasing, but it won't be reliably. So whilst the feedback a tuner gives isn't what your chasing, it's the reality of physics and reliability. Return on investment diminishes the hungrier for power you get.
