Why would there be aftermarket central locking on a bugeye?
They come with central locking from factory, seems like a waste of time to me.
I think he means an aftermarket key. Which I have seen, the aftermarket remote can still be coded by SUbaru. But a dealership can check the faulty factory key anyway.
If it was an aftermarket alarm, it would just wire into one of the C/L actuators to arm and disarm.

well if its just the facotry one you can remove the pass side kick panel to reveal the programming plug, plug that in, press the remote a few times, then unplug, done, search google for exact procedure

correct^ sorry, I was vague on the description, the original Subaru alarm was replaced, central locking is still OEM per usual, but the alarm has now go shock sensors, and full entry point sensors installed, and I have an Autowatch remote which is integrated into the turbo timer...

But, the original OEM Subaru key/with central lock/alarm on the key itself does not work, and i just wanted to know if I could get the key coded and not have the other autowatch remote...just use the key itself.

If that makes sense...

Brett

got it sorted......

turns out the guy at the key "specialist" at shopping centre near me put the new battery in the key upside down!
Popped into Subaru dealers on Scarb beach rd, service guy coded the key for free for me (its pretty easy by the looks of it) and they replaced both my batterys in both keys for $10 each!! the shopping centre "specialist" charged $19 just for one and messed it up!

spastic, he actually had to try to mess that up...after the probable amount of car remotes he has done...thats a worry.
