Yeah the i2 would be way better especially given that you're streaming data from the ecu and it's overlaid with track data and vid footage.

A few years ago I saw a video clip of it all synced and it was premium. Try searching on YouTube and motec website for a demo.

Tino, type "lionracingvideos" into YouTube - there is a poor quality clip titled 'i2Pro Motec Data with Video Sync Module' which gives you an idea of what you can achieve.

I could waste hours upon hours playing with that shit after a track day.

Just to put it out there, Hz is cycles per second, so 20 hertz is twice as fast as 10Hz, and 5Hz the data would be updated each 1/5th of a second (200mS)

This may make a faster update seem better, more accurate, but, it could well depend on the information being gathered, and the rate it changes, eg rpm if your under hard acceleration these figures will move up very quickly and be difficult to read and may look like 8888 if its in a digital block format, where as a slower update would appear more jagged but you would be able to read the figures as they update.

Tino's "hurtz" is only for the GPS position tracking, not for throttle positions etc.

So more hertz the better to give an accurate position and lap time.

yeh tracking the 20 will be much more accurate than the 5.. i.e Glen baker was saying that the MoTeC GPS unit is accurate to less than half a metre..
