The good news is that you have enough posts to make a for sale thread

Might want to invest in one of these to make WAPOL's job easier:

Ended up getting myself some XXR530 18 x 7.5, needed to fit 3mm spacers to the front to clear Brembos. Next is some coilovers to get the ride height right

I'd like to buy a set of RPF1's for my 02 WRX but I am having a lot of trouble finding the right info.
I'd like to go 17x9 +45 but I don't think it would clear the brakes according to some sources I have found, I know it doesn't clear Brembos but it would clear the US WRX brakes, although we have 4/2 pots on our WRX's unlike them so its a bit of a grey zone. I know the 17x8 +45 will fit but the 8" wide wheels have a unsightly inner rung/lip where the spokes attach to the barrel. Also I'd like to fit 245/40's on them so I think the 9" is the way to go, I'm just worried about fitment and spending money on wheels that wont fit without a lot of extra work like spacers and longer studs and pulling the guards and camber bolts etc that I really don't want to do. Any advice would be much appreciated. |

u can search nasioc or iwsti and 1010tires calculator for more fitment info. AND 245 fits 8.5'' rim perfectly not 9''.

Thanks for the reply.
I have been searching for days, I am a member of both of those forums as well as about half a dozen other WRX/Impreza forums. Unfortunately the information I am looking for doesn't exist due to a few reasons, one being the 9" +45 fitment is not a very common wheel on any of those forums and they don't use the same brakes we have on our standard WRX's. This is actually the most informative thread I have found anywhere on the net in regard to what I am looking for (as well as looking to have knowledgeable posters) and I have read every single post in this thread (as well at many other forums threads). Most threads on other sites will just have a picture of the wheel on a car and sometimes if you are lucky they have the size as well but rarely will they include the offset or mention if it needed other work to make them fit. That is despite those threads saying to post specs, but people just use it to show off their wheels and forget what the thread is for. I have spent the last week searching all forums and asking questions in some of them but usually I don't get any reply or I get told to use the search even though I have racked at least 20 hours of searching in the last week alone and going through countless threads with nearly no relevant information. I have also contacted 3 sellers about fitment and not even one has replied as of yet despite emailing them all within the last 3-5 days. There is also a few people I have PM'd on various forums requesting more info on their set up but I don't have replies as of yet either. I'm hoping someone here will have the knowledge that will be able to help me, but rest assured that I will continue searching as I have been. Last edited by 2DIE; 10-09-2014 at 10:10 PM. |

I think Soksta has rpf01 on his rex, maybe pm him for some more info?
But running 9'' will give u about 20mm less outer clearance and about same inner clearance assuming stock rim is 7.5'' and 55mm offset. If u plan to run more negative camber to clear guard, it might hit the shock. using the Perth-WRX mobile app
