Scanned and read by stef, cheers dude! Turns out to be an exhaust temp sens throwing the cel, any idea's as to why it only triggers in fifth? Will be running it without using fifth until its service to see if it goes again, if not, day of service ill get the boys to drive her on the freeway and see if it throws a cel.

Cheers

aftermarket exhaust?
needs a spacer, or swap with a resistor.

Some codes are not stored in memory, they are known as temporary codes.
The system will check those circuits every time the engine is started and if there is a fault, the CEL will be set. If its all normal, no light.
The only way to check them is when the light is on.
Camshaft position sensor circuit range/performance is P0341

Did this work (as in get a code) only when you had the CEL and not turn the engine off? Would be interesting to see if what I said was right. What did you use to get the code? I still believe you shifter stick is hitting wiring of some sort.

P0546, exhaust gas temp sensor high input. Sound's like it needs that resistor mod, or a tune.

So why only in fifth John? Seems strange that he shifts int fifth and it comes on? I might be wrong but would the exhaust gas temps not really change going from 4th to 5th?

I can't say without looking at the car, if anything I would think they would be a bit lower.
But... its a standard car so it shouldn't need any reflashing or resistor cheats.
The code is what it is though, and needs to be diagnosed.

Agreed, Yeh she's standard except some retarded 3" cannon muffler previous owner put on. Could it be due to a previous tune left on the ecu with the mods taken off? Perhaps running rich or something in 5th?
