Hey guys, my boyfriend booked his wrx into 'Allstar Garage' for Monday 12 September to get a whole bunch of mods! he was told to take his car in and it would take them about a week to do everything! and his car would be ready for 'PowerCruise'!!

He took his car in Monday and they said they couldn't start working on it till next week and it will take them a week and a half to work on it! He is devistated, because this mean his car won't be ready for 'PCruise'....

I'm just wondering if anywhere north of the river beside "Maximum Motor Sports' could do somthing for him, with an AWD Dyno???

List of mods wanted:
30/76R turbo << need to be supplied
external wastegate 50mm
headers
850-1000cc injectors
Vipec ECU << needs to be supplied
Tune
Service
Ally Radiator << needs to be supplied
Oil catch can
Fuel pressure reg

Only the turbo, ecu and ally needs to be supplyed by work shop!

Need the car to go in ASAP!
and be ready latest Friday 23 September!!

Allstar quoted 7grands for overall install, tune, service, plus supplied three things needed eg. turbo! and including all the braided lines and what not!!

why hasn't he got the turbo and ecu himself?

Well if they have to source the parts then yes a week and half is very reasonable I think.

And he didn't buy them because all star sed they could supply for him! They said that he can take it in Friday and start work!
Would 6 days be pushing it?? To have everything done!?

Depends on what other work they have on as well, they can't just spend all there time on your car...

It will take time (days) to source everything needed - no one will buy parts in until they have the car or you pay upfront - it's called surety (so they can be sure they'll be paid for said parts).

No one will 'drop everything' to work on one car either (unless you have splashed maybe 10's of $1000's) at any shop.

Should have arranged everything 2 weeks ago so you/he had the car the week prior to the event.

Workshops hate deadlines....the cars on deadlines always turnout to be the ones that have issues & get delayed.
