My 550cc STI pinks running a safe 11.2 AFR (just before hitting 1.6 bar) came up as maxed at 302 hp on my STI.

I then put in 800cc SARD's, got up to 335hp 425nm and later 340hp 436nm with timing changes & slightly more boost at peak power, with the 800's at an AFR of again 11.2 - 11.3 (just before hitting 1.6 bar - Peaking / spiking to 1.8 & then dropping off back to 1.6) 77.8% duty showing with 335hp & slightly higher duty 78.3% with the 340hp.

Are you sure you are not talking crank hp John? Hub dyno's from my experience / reading can be quite inflated over roller types, which is correct, I guess is irrelevant. But my readings above were both done on a hub dyno.

Would be keen to see results John with AFR & Duty cycle.

EDIT : Forgot to mention the above was done with standard fuel pressure & standard fuel regulator.

Hi John

Mine made just over the 300Hp mark at the wheels with the Dark Blue STI injectors in it. Replaced them with a set of Injector Dynamics 725cc's and have reached the current figure with plenty of headroom at 1.4bar.
I personally didn't want to be held back by a relatively cheap item in the overall scheme of the build, and wanted the extra safety. It has also given the extra allowance for when it has a few more km's on it, to be leant on a bit harder.

Nathan

You'll make 30x easily with the 550s at <80% duty.

I appreciate the advice and experiences gents, I'm not sure that my car will make 350hp, I doubt it, but the potential is there with the TD06.
As I said, I was under the impression that 550's would be capable of supporting that sort of power.
For the record, it will be a Mainline dyno, so roller.
I wont know till I get it on there and spend a couple of hours with it, I will be happy with over 300hpatw

Hmmm, well instead of getting the car on the dyno, I managed to get a virus and get very sick instead.
Hopefully I'll get another chance soon.

Wound the boost up to 1.55 on Monday, 550cc injectors maxed out and leaning out to 12:1 A/FR. Which is not good.
Going to turn the boost down to 1.4 and see if its safe for now
But on the plus side, it would be safe to say its making over 300 based on other peoples experiences.
Really need to get some bigger injectors now, and REALLY need to get it on a dyno.

So hard to find time with two little kids.

Sounds like a lame pump, poor fuel filter, or clogged baskets on those injectors. You shouldnt be that close before running out of injector.

Also, dont be afraid of going over 85% duty, it just means your injectors stay open for the whole cycle. This isnt a bad thing, providing your fuel pump can maintain pressure

I tend to push to 100% duty and just watch wideband to see if its a risk.

Its hitting 98% duty, pump is only 2 years old, injectors were pretty much brand new and have now only done 30000k's, fuel filter has done about 4000k's ,maybe less, remember though, I'm running a TD06/20g. It flows a lot of air.
Thats the only reason I can think that they're at their limit.
Must get on dyno
