If you want to take it to a mechanic, go to bunnings first and get this high temp tape. Its rubber and perfect for closing off small holes on the hoses (temporarily). Its rubber, you stretch it and wrap it around the hose. I carry it in the boot at all times as I had to use it once on the power steering hose.

Otherwise, you could try heating the hose in some hot water so its more flexible.

Cheers addy its definately something I should buy and keep in the car. A big thanks to steve for popping down to take a look at my mess lol its always good to know there is plenty of knowledge out there. cheers again guys appreciate your input, who knows i may just make it on saturday for a coffee etc.

soaking the hose in boiling water will make it supple & easier to bend to get it on there prick of a job though, had one of these in my garage for ages but gave it away with the oil cooler when i sold it last month

I had a look last night and unless you undo the 10mm bolt that secures the pipe it was always going to be a nightmare to get on.
Going out after work to rectify this and recieve the mechanics universal currency.......booze
