early model 1j with custom dump pipes and exhaust.

my ct12a's used to be make boost from 1300rpm after the tune...

Surprised no one has mentioned it yet.
Anti-lag, you can make boost at idle.
All you need is aftermarket engine management and a way of kicking the throttle open.
Beware though, your vacuum booster on your brakes wont work, you'll have to push the pedal a lot harder.
Thats your best option I'd say.

What mods do you currently have mate?

Some ideas for reducing lag on a completely stock 2.0L + TD04, usually:

Resonatorectomy
STI flat panel filter
3" turbo back exhaust + retune
Turbo silicone inlet pipe
Boost control solenoid (hold boost longer)
Retune (Verso/Ecutek)

Should get it spooling a littler earlier around 3000rpm.

That's about the maximum you will get out of a TD04. And for the amount of money you would spend trying to achieve this, you could slap on a VF34 and wave bbai as you easily overtake...
