So, the lesson here to reduce lag on a TD04 is:
  • Get a larger TMIC (05 sti spec C seems to be the bomb)
  • Get a tune
  • Possibly get a TBE as well?
Also, is there any known turbos out there that have the same or about the same power of the td04 but a lower spooling point?

Are you serious?? You want to reduce what tiny amount of lag there is in a TD04? What drugs are you on?

Only the tune will increase the performance of the car. Larger TMIC won't, TBE depending on size won't. These items will allow more power and a longer power band.

I think you need to get a V8 if you want 2000rpm full torque...

probably overkill for a TD-04 Tino.

Well, nothing seems to happen below 3k rpm. That's a pretty visible lag to me.

Easily overcome - 3k take-off from every light and stop sign you encounter, then choose your shift points wisely.
