I spoke to paul who helped put the car together initially and he said that it is all in there... So I'm going round his place to look at his when I get back from Gero to see how it all goes together and if it's act all there.. Hopefully it is..

I am still yet to sort out the DCCD wiring issue, however this being mainly due to me being stuck in Geraldton. Is anybody able to tell me where about's the DCCD wheel wiring goes to, I have found a pic of the wheel and wiring as attached, however it is much longer than I thought it would be, does it go to the drivers A pillar? I have the DCCD controller unit in and plugged in however there doesn't seem to be any spare plugs for this wiring loom to go into..
Also I have discovered that the grey/green wired are for the ABS which I will no longer be requiring due to the RA wiring harness being put in the car.. Pictures by tom_spoon - Photobucket many thanks again..

ok first up... check the wires that come out of the back of the gearbox. go from the drivers side, jack the car up and start feeling around up there.
http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg822...jpg&res=medium http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg820...jpg&res=medium these from memory are two black wires which go to the engine back wiring loom. http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg193...jpg&res=medium you will need to take the intercooler off to check to see if you have the plug. cut the plug and wire these up. now if your not sure which one is which.. it doesnt matter, because all that will happen is when you toggle foward on your switch your dccd will go the opposite direction. so just wire it up then solder it later when you know you have it right. sorry for the shitty pics btw.. im really tired!!! i cant remember where the dccd controller and handbrake hook up to but im pretty sure they were part of the main loom. sounds to me like you might already have the dccd controller wiring in there (because there are no plugs) which mean your in for a bit of fun.. ripping your interior apart! lol. im pretty sure my handbrake and dccd controller go throught the centre console. but im not 100%. if you want i can rip it apart on the weekend and find out where they goe. altho this would mean youd owe me a beer! lol. |

Sorted!! Here is a brief description if what I had to do to rectify the problem (turned out to not be that big, just confusing).
As the car has a 2 door wiring loom in it (front half), the main plug to the rear of the car is different (4 door), this plug is where the DCCD controller wires would normally run out of. On top of this the car has had an extra loom left in it at some point in its life of conversions so I had 2 x rear looms for 1 x front plugs, and no rear section with the DCCD wiring or controller. To get around the wrong rear section and no DCCD wiring I traced the wires from the DCCD controller unit to the plug, I then got a cruise control plug which had been slightly altered to fit the DCCD wheel and pinned it into the 3 wires through the plug.. Wallah it worked. So I used the spare rear harness ABS wires which runs from the A pillar to the Gearbox (green wires in previous pictures), cut the DCCD wires from the back of the Controller side of the plug (to bypass the plug), soldered them together and the DCCD wheel/CC plug to the other end. So a note to people who get a V5 halfcut etc that you may need to do this as a solution, or possibly pin the DCCD wiring into the back half of the Wiring loom plug. Hope this can help someone in the future!! http://i1270.photobucket.com/albums/.../IMG_01611.jpg http://i1270.photobucket.com/albums/.../IMG_01621.jpg
