yeah even with a 24mm with a nice plated r160 you will get oversteer, as john said earlier its one of those invisible mods that transforms the handling and the way it corners

have you seen the reverse manifold muggz has for sale? it suits the early manifold setup you have cheap too

Na I have not seen it mate, I will go and have a look now though. I considered a R160 but once this 2.35 stroker is built I'll be putting a six speed in with a R180, so I think I'll just wait until that happens before I do diff work

yup the runners have been cut and flipped around.. i bought this until i was informed it didnt fit the later v5 + motors

Today I'm driving the car in question here. Due to the setup throttle response is almost instantaneous = get on the go peadal early, diffs hook up quicker, caterpult out of the corner MUCH quicker.

^^^ yep - "instant ON" is the best way of describing it.

Once you go TMIC>FMIC>TMIC you realise how much better it is.

Doug,

Could you or anyone else elaborate on this please? I assume you mean going from TMIC to FMIC? As in a modification opposed to being factory like the Evo's?

Do these same rules apply to Targa West? So if you have modified to FM you cant run?
