Getting all this done could open up a nasty can of worms I think and could cause many head aches.

Will have to think about all this. I had no idea you needed to get all this done if you get mods done to the vehicle

I rolled over pits with ease...given the mods I have
Changed back the exhaust to an OEM STOCK 2.5? exhaust
Changed the coilovers back to OEM STOCK springs
All my under car braces swaybar links bushes, braided brake lines, AOS all passed no problems

Change as much stuff to stock as you possibly can like the exhaust & springs - rest leave it to chance but obviously if yo have a twist mount setup will be a bit sus - if you engine bay is pretty stock should have a problem

also make sure you have the generals stuff like lights(inc rear license plates) window wiper/washer horn seat belts working

It sounds worse then it is... and it has been a while since I have had to deal with this sort of thing, so maybe some one else will shine a better light on your situation

EDIT: although I see it hard to contribute such things as coilovers, sway bars and a turbo to a crash if it was an accident. But insurance agencies worry about themselves, thier money, then you and your money.

They will squeeze out of a pay-out if they can

I dont have to go over the pits and hopefully never have too.

I was just reading this thread and then started asking questions as it came evident what legally should be done if you have certain mods.

As I said, what are the chances the COP will know what half the parts are and they won't be getting their hands dirty looking trust me, my last car would have never left the pits if they had looked under it properly.

INTEGRA DC2 VTIR VTEC: 4-1 extractors, 3" exhaust, NO cat and 1 muffler (little tooo loud at WOT , but nothing major, and it scraped where ever you went)

Sounded like a racing bike

In all honesty I am more worried about the insurance side of things and not being covered.

I am with Shannons and all mods are listed on the policy so if anyone from Shannons is reading this then maybe they can advise.

EDIT: The cops dont give a shit whether they know what they are looking for or not. They just give you the sticker and its once it gets over the pits your problems start. They know what they are looking for.

Get a "quote" then ask them what their policy on mods are.

If you identify yourself then they COULD (not saying shannons would) put a mark against your name?

But as you said, SHANNONS know about them so they can't really turn around and say NO.

Can't emphasise that enough.

Also make sure there's no visible oil/fluid leaks.
