GF8 speedo problem
Hi Guys,
Just picked up a GF8 wagon last Saturday. Only one thing wrong with it is that the speedo doesn't work, (tacho, fuel, etc and all other gauges on the cluster work). I thought it would simply be the speed sensor on the gearbox, so I bought one from the wreckers and put it on today. Still not working. My question now is what else could it be? Whilst driving the car feels sluggish and power is often cut/limited. Engine light comes on and off. I'm assuming this is all caused by the speed data not being fed to the ecu. Does anyone have any idea how I can fix this? Cheers |

Car is probably in sleep mode due to not getting correct speed sensor signal but can't help with the speedo problem, maybe try swapping gauge pod with a similar aged car.
The speedo itself isn't that hard to change if it's shagged, just a bit of fiddling around separating the gauge pod but auto sparky should probably be your first stop.

Try a different cluster.
