Question Fuel pump : Deatchwerks 320Lph or Wahlbro @55Lph

Just wondering is anybody here is running the Deatschwerks DW300 320Lph fuel pump.

I know most people have the Walhbro 255Lph which I will probably get too when tuning my STi but wondering if the Deatchwerks is better - It looks better than the walhbro haha...definitely looks like a better design.
Most tuning shops here supply the Walhbro so I'm guessing I'll go with that but maybe...

Fuel Pumps : DW300 In-Tank Fuel Pump | DeatschWerks

So Walhbro at 255lph is enough or go Deatchwerks at 320Lph?? All I'm goingt to have in my car is a TBE and a tune...

Go an Aeromotive 340. Way better.

Never heard of that one before but looks allright.

I wonder if the higher the pump rating as in 255, 30 , 340, 400...it means that if I put a higher rated faster flowing pump that my fuel consumption will go high too, as in if I used to get 400-500 km per tank I'll get like 200-300...
Or will it just pump the amount required by the engine depending on how I'm driving? I'm a bit lost by how that goes.

All determined by the ECU & How it is tuned. If you only have an OEM/Stock Tune & have one installed. It will operate at stock parameters & you will notice no benefit/loss.

OK so if you get your ecu tuned and install a 320lph, does that automatically mean that your fuel consumption will be more than if you installed a 255lph pump?
Will it always pump at 320lph on acceleration or will it pump progressively, as in If I'm not flogging it, it will consume normally and pump at whatever lesser rate?

You might to google how a fuel system in a modern injected 4 stroke motor works.

Ok cool... so I guess the standard walhbro 255 lph is more than enough for safety when the stock o6 sti is on 155lph...

Thanks for the info.

and unless you're paying the same price as an aeromotive 340 is more than likely a china fake

hands up who's has a 1 or 2 year old supposedly 'real' walbro die on them?
<puts hand up>
