Pix? Hmm, if I've gotta paint them and get rid of rash, it might put them well out of my negotiating range...sorry to hijack your thread Solar!

GrimmSpeed Cold Air Intake - Subaru 08-14 WRX/STI, 09-13 Forester XT - GrimmSpeed

Best engineered CAI for wrx/sti 08-14!?

So the contenders AEM +Prefilter so its not water intake ?

K&N typhoon (Not fussed possible Maf fuck up I know how to oil filters)

And of course The grimm speed

Which would you buy and why? Dont tell me to keep stockbox.

Yeah Yeah I know its not like turbo selection thread and its just CAI so who give us a shit cant really go wrong with either one I still like talking about this.
Don't know about the Grimm Speed CAI but I got the Cobb SF intake and air box, I thought it would be great but come time to fit and tune it Maxumum's said they wouldn't fit it as apparently it wasn't compatible with my Ecutec tune.

Same deal here, but with ASG. I was the first in WA to buy and try one (on my '08). I've already made the OP aware of the potential problems come tuning time...

Hi Trolley, did you go with another CAI that was compatible with your tune or stick with the stock box.
Also what did you do with your Cobb intake & box??

Sold it for half what I paid for the fucking thing to a kid over east. Running stock intake. CAI does two-fifths of fuck all apart from adding YOLO spec induction noises.

Pretty much.

It's quite liveable for years though unlike a hektik bov, or tututu. Had my APS for a while now. You only hear it during spool and then its gone.

Performance as you say though is 2 fifths/fa.

I wouldn't be devvo if i went to a stock OEM box though.
