OK. sounds like the stock ecu could not add in enough fuel to compensate for all the additional air that the CAI was sucking in. just a guess.

i really don't know why people bother with CAI for stockish wrx's. the stock airbox is not a restriction for most people's power needs.

Yeah I was hopeful that the Deatsch Werks 65c fuel pump might help but no joy

Yeh I fairly sure it was a 207, just wanted to check. The 2.5's are/were finicky in regards to CAI. The US don't seem to have much of a problem though

The grim speed has a correction method called air straightening. It's the insert that can be seen in the inside of the intake pipe in there photo. It shows the issues you have with the MAF positioned next to the air cleaner/ pod.

I believe in changing the factory solenoid over. But I see no point in fitting a aftermarket boost controller to our late model cars. The factory ecu is very good in it's control.

Gordens car apparently had issues with the factory boost controller. I would of liked to see a party not involved in the debaites on here like BYM look at what was causing the issue. We then could get a better understanding on the subject.

I think a few tuners struggle with the factory boost controller and how to set this function correctly.

Speed density is the go, get rid of the MAF

I would go

Process west
Tho I have a good mate with a AEM and has no issues. Tho I believe it has to do with the tuner

As above. If I ever did go for a CAI I would go for the PW unit just for the fact that it has been made here and tested on Australian cars, on our fuel, in our conditions. Fucking expensive though.
