Default Another clutch pedal problem...

Ive searched all relevant threads about my issue but can't find anything that helps me.

The clutch pedal stroke is no longer linear on my 98 WRX. Im pretty sure I just stared noticing it last week and i can confirm it is getting gradually worse.

Basically the clutch pedal is still working atm but whenever I'm pulling out the clutch pedal this happens...

From the fully depressed position the clutch pedal travels normally until the final 3cm or so of travel i feel a distinct point of resistance then a resistless 'flop' upwards.

Also during spirited acceleration the pedal can sometime get stuck at the point of resistance and i have to pull it back up the last 3cm manually with my foot.

I've looked at the pedal mechanism from in the foot well and have noticed a tiny bit of green drops coming from the rubber ring around the rod that gets pushed into the firewall.

sorry for the essay but need at bit of help here

Have a look in the the clutch fluid resivoir. Sounds like its low. Top it up enough to drive it to your mechanic.

If you have low fluid it means you have a leak. (Or its boiling off - highly unlikely) The leak you described sounds like the master cylinder is failing.

I had exact same symptoms as you many years back, and it too was the line/hose to the slave cylinder.

Sounds like a clutch master leak if its leaking at the actual pedal rod itself

More than likely just needs another bleed, I had one that took at least 4 times before it felt right, sometimes it would take a week or more between needing a bleed.
