The Calibration table for the Mass Air Flow (Intake) Sensor is referenced by the voltage generated by the Mass Airflow Sensor; the table values represent grams a second of air passing across the sensor.

Voltage range of this sensor is 0 – 5 V

If you increase (or decrease) the size of the housing (piping) the MAF sensor resides, this will effect how much air is passed across the housing for a given MAF voltage. If you increase the diameter of the housing, more air will pass through the same given voltage compared to stock.

Failure to modify the calibration table will result in inaccurate A/F targets at both closed loop and WOT (wide open throttle)

Keep in mind that not all intakes are the same; some will have turbulence or poor flow issues at certain MAF voltages, which will require additional tuning.

^^^^^ - yeah, what he said.

Huy - the MRT/Hyperflow CAI is the same - MRT are the selling agent for Hyperflow products - i'd also specify the K&N cone filter on the end rather than the Unifilter Foam jobby.

Once u get FMIC u get a new passenger in your car... THE LAG MONSTER!!!... even on a 2.5 it can be pretty annoying. Go custom angle mount as some others have suggested...its worth the extra expense.... or dont go FMIC at all... get methanol/water injection, its almost as good and with none of the lag problems. There is a red wagon with a rigoli 2.5 on the east coast who uses a top mount and 9! NOS bottles hidden under back seat as his intercooling... the NOS is used as a very small shot like 30hp just to cool the intake charge... and he does low 11's. TMIC pryde.
