Is there a reason why you are not letting the building tune it? Or Do S Technic not do tunes?

I would have let them tune, but as mentioned above, not possible. There are numerous workshops in Perth that could complete the job with ease. I just opted for S-Technic as they are familiar with my car and have been easy to deal with from the start.

Also had quotes done by MMS and Racetorque...would have been just as comfortable with it going to them as well. Both businesses were equally easy to deal with and would recommend them as well for anyone going down a path similar to mine. They both went above and beyond to answer any questions and give their advice.

Some other popular Perth shops really need to hire a secretary or something, having to leave multiple messages that have still gone un-answered shits me. In this economy you think these businesses would be screaming out for the work....Lift your fucking game

Dean from Max is very easy to deal with. Even when he knows he wont make any money out of you he will help you get your answers.

You are right in saying that and his quote reflected this. Can't discredit the other workshops though, all very competitive and all on the same level of support and customer service.

On another note, who that's had a motor built, can provide any info on the run-in? Do workshops these days prefer to break it in on the dyno or?

I'm sure everything will be answered in time but trying to work out if I need to be there in Perth to collect the car or whether I should just get it trucked back to Kal. 600km @ 110kp/h cant be good for the rings on a fresh motor.

Get ASG to run it in on the dyno, then drive back to Kal in 5 hours.
