Default MY15 Flat Battery

I've not started my MY15 WRX for a couple of months, and it now appears that the battery is completely flat. So flat that the key won't even open the door. Any ideas as to how I can get in at the battery?

Car is still under new car warranty. Call dealership and tell them to come out and sort it for you.

AFAIK warranty doesn't cover the battery. Its a consumable.

Does the MY15 not have a doorlock you can insert the key into?

A couple of people have found themselves in the same situation on Whirlpool, apparently you can't open the car with the key unless the battery has enough charge.

Warranty replaced my car battery due to some fool leaving the interior light on and not running it very much...

Ring the RAC they should come out and do it for you on the spot

And the keyless key has a key inside it.....there musty be a cover you can pull off the drivers door handle to find the key lock

Agreed that it is a consumable but surely the dealership knows how to get around this issue.

Or maybe I am expecting too much from dealerships...

Wangara Subi were always helpful when my betty was under warranty.

apparently the only way to do it is to get a locksmith to come and break into the car...

Where is the starter motor located on these? Is it nice and low so i can get in with a set of jump leads onto the (big) cable?

Have you taken the key out of the fob and stuck it in the slot on the door??
