I would check if your wastegate is farked. My car struggled to make boost and maxed at 15psi before dropping back to 10psi because the internal gate was flapping open like a biatch. Possibly try getting the wastegate held fully closed to see if boost goes over 0.6 bar.. if it does then connect the wastegate back up properly and see if problem is there.

ok i checked all the lines to do with the turbo and also checked the bov line too, put a little spray of oil into the top of the BOV just for kicks.

reset the ecu (i think) and still exactly the same, moved my boost gauge to another source of vacuum aswell.

still the same problem!

OK this morning way to work it went to 0.6bar then stopped then slightly went up. i boosted again and it went to 0.6bar and then went right upto 1.2bar with a tiny pause before it did it. then smooth as to 1.2bar all the way to work. going home today it was great for a few goes of 1.2bar down the road, then i tried it in fifth when i got close to home and it stopped at 0.8bar, then dropped to 0.7bar and now is about there and 0.6bar again? what the?!

unless you know someone, ie mechanic at a subaur dealership, you are unlikely to get any help, especially dianogstic

take it to one of the workshops
it could be a time bomb. the fact that you can't get a consistent boost level. Who knows if its already pinging
