If it is, I remember in my 01 if you turn the key from off to on (not accessories) 9 times it reset CEL's. Go 10 just to be safe. See what happens.

ECU Reset:

This works for all models: Just unplug negative battery terminal, stand on brake pedal for 30-40 seconds. Or you can just leave the car for 30 min or so (long enough for the ECU to drain power) with the battery disconnected.
Or
Applicable to MY93-00 [GC8] models only:

Locate the ECU connectors under the steering column.
With the ignition OFF connect black -> black and green -> green.
Turn on ignition, but DO NOT start the engine
Depress the accelerator pedal to full throttle, hold for a few seconds and then release.
Depress the accelerator pedal to half-throttle, hold for a few seconds and then release.
Start engine and then drive for at least one minute, keeping road speed above 5mph (11 Km/h).
The check engine light (CEL) should start to flash the all clear signal (steady 1/2 second interval flashes). If the check engine light does not flash, or indicates some other sequence, there is a fault present in the system, and should be professionally checked for necessary repairs.
Stop the car and turn off the engine.
Disconnect the plugs.
ECU in now reset.
