Its strange i start the engine then it try's to rev high for maybe 20 seconds. I have a rev limiter set to bit over 2k revs when its dead cold so it sits on that then comes down to idle. It only happens when i don't drive it for a while. Anyone else ever had this?

clean the icv.....

When you say "high revs" how many Rpm's exactly?

mine revs to 2000rpm on cold idle starts. is normal according to the guys at ASG.

mine sits just under 1500rpm when cold. GC8

Mine is also 1500, and progressivly drops down till it is warm and sits at 800-900.

mine does the same on a cold start and then will randomly go up and down at idle, pull up at lights and it will sit at 1500 for a minute or so then drop to 1000 and back up to 1500 again, I think its time for a tune

mine does the opposite, when cold barely turns over, sounds hell lumpy revving at 200rpm if that then as it warms up it gets to 1000rpm and holds.

its almost tune time anyway
