Default Motec / Delco 3 bar MAP sensor

Howdy lads,

In relation to the afore-mentioned, I am replacing the OEM MAP sensor on the throttle body, with Motec part number #53003. With regards to wiring, I have seen from the service manual (wiring chapter, page 77, E21), that im meant to have orange, red and black/green, which I do:

So, noting the new sensor needs 0v, MAP and +5v on A,B and C pins respectively, which wire is which from the engine wiring loom? I cant decypher from the manual. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Brent.

Red = +5v
Black/green stripe = 0v (earth)
Orange = Map signal

Double Check:
The harness to the ECU inside the car to see if the orange re-appears there in the correct pin location for the map signal into the ecu.

^ PnP uses the factory 5 plugs? Wouldnt MAP wiring from the engine bay patch in to the same pinout (A,B,C,D,E #whatever) on the Motec board?

Set me straight... lol. I was just going to extend the (OEM) wiring from the TB, to where the BCS sits, and have the MAP mounted there. Isnt it as Rossco said? That made sense... noting the red wire also travels to other sensors and the like, and blk/grn is earth... so orange would be 'signal'...?

Happy to be corrected, as im not with the car right now...

Brent.
