taking it back to them tomorrow morning. had a chat to the manager and he gave me the ol wise tale. I found two screws on each amp instead of four on each corner. funny how there is no room in the boot and plenty under the seats. my amps aint that big and its exposed. oh well can tell them to bolt it down and push it as far forward as possible.

Well i can do it. I just choose not to do it coz its a cunt of a job. But if its just fixing some wiring and securing your amp's i'll do it. I still don't understand why they couldn't get the amp's in the boot. I vote laziness more than anything

Or the expense of running more cable. Cost cutting to the max. Cheaper to run some speaker wire than power and RCA's I guess.

ok just plugged in my bros sub for a bit and after 5 mins of doof doof, the sub died. found out the earth cable wasn't connected properly.

my amp and 2x subs are in my boot.....
while not the same model rex, i wouldnt have thought there would be much difference in boot space |

now my amp doesn't turn on. this just keeps getting better. fuse or amp = dead

Pretty clear and cut case of a crap install..
You've gone through a business for which this is their 'speciality' and you have the receipt for such work. Take it back and get it re-done, well within your right to do so. Or a refund as you did NOT get what you paid for. .. Go from there - next step is to contact another Alberts - and liase with a higher authority.

i think the protection functioned must have been activated. amp doesnt turn on now. anyone have any idea how to turn it back on after the protection has been activated ?
