I had an issue with Alberts Ossie Park when Rob (Blue MX5) was the manager, way back 6 years ago. Gave him $800 deposit on full install to be done 2 days later, when I rocked up at 8am the store was shut and he'd fucked off over east. So I went to Alberts Vic Park, told them what had happened (Brett knew what had gone down) and they carried out the install straight away and took the $800 off the price, luckily I had the receipt.

Sub standard installs from a franchise such as Alberts where you are paying the second highest prices in Perth is simply unacceptable. Hope they fix it PROPERLY for you dude

last night had the sub in to hear how it sounds. after 5 mins of doof doof the amp shut off. didn't crank it up loud. found one of the main red battery wire was off, not attached properly. put it back on and it never turned back on. took it back this morning and now theres something wrong with the amp. am I at fault if the amp is fried ?

nah man you should not be at fault at all..
tell them that the install was shitty and again that you are not happy.. and that the main wire was not connected properly.. i doubt the amp will be fried that quick.. hopefulyl jsut a fuse gone or some wire is not connected again somewhere else...

Have had similar nightmare installs with Albert's ozzy park. Don't go there, anyone.

However, Bruce down at Alberts Myaree is an absolute champion.

both fuses on the amp are fine, same with the main one. amp is suppose to have protection function but they say there is no switch to turn it back on. now they've sent it next door (JW electronics) to have a look at it. hopefully the amp is ok since it cost me a fortune.

probably protection function is activated, or it is fried. hopefully its repairable or ill be demanding a refund on the install at the very least.

Amps generally go into protection and stay that way until power is disconnected and reconnected again. I have NEVER seen an amp that requires a technician to re-start after going into a protected state. Is that an LED indicator on the amp?

WTF are you doing getting it repaired??? You need to tell them you want a brand new amp to replace the one thats fubared now. Ring fair trading and get this shit sorted, brand new amp and your money back NOW !!! By Law they have to give you a brand new amp if that one is damaged, you havent even had it 1 day
