Oh I agree, for someone fighting in the mid-field, he doesnt really reserve the right to make such calls.

Hopefully

a) the RB4 is a good piece of gear next year
b) he ends up at McLaren which remains a good piece of gear.

Be a good chance to see if he finally can put up... if not, then he can shut up.

Mclaren will suck next year.. remember FIA will have exclusive access to their race car development plans... Plus I am sure RD would like someone paying for drive as he still has to pay FIA.

The McLaren wont suck, its not a new car for 2008, its an evolution on this one. If they manage to cure the biggest issue with it (which is its reliance on tyre grip, which in turn over uses the tyres) It could well be head of the field next year. It pretty much was this year. Not sure how the FIA seeing their plans affect the cars speed either, not like they are going to share them with everyone.

RD will not take a driver who brings sponsorship, because it usually means they are substandard drivers. They have to buy a drive for a reason! Considering the fine will eventuate to around 45 million after its all sorted, the sponsors, Mercedes and RD will cover that. Sure it will sting but it wont be the end of McLaren.

A Mclaren will be a good car to be in next year. Personally I hope he ends up there.

Brendon, Id rather some Senna, Montoya, Zanardi of Villenuve , but I wouldnt say not to Schumacher.. Michael only though!
