Lol @ LAN coffee battles.

I'm keen!

Those Slayers are off the chain, a viable alternative to the undisputed champion Synesso Hydra 4 group

Those GS/3's are the shit.. La Marzocco are onto a winner with those, but 10k for a home setup is a bit extreme.. Then again, people run Synesso's and Mazzer Majors in their kitchen, plumbed in with external rotary pumps.. Overkill!

i recently upgraded my commercial machine to a san remo roma tcs 3 gruppi which is an awesome bit of kit. for home use i have a san remo treviso lx with rotary pump and a sr80 grinder which i will be honest makes a good coffee but nothing like its bigger blacker badder brother! i think overkill is in the eye of the beholder if you take something seriously and with passion nothing wrong with being carried away!

Picked up one of these little beauties.

Izzo Alex Duetto II.

The usual commercial spec gear on board.. rotary pump, PID, twin switched boilers (as opposed to heat exchanger), E61 group, stainless steel throughout, pressure gauges for each boiler, etc etc. I also like the fact that you can run it off mains water OR the built-in water tank, at the flick of a lever, which makes it versatile. It's designed for small coffee bar use, so up to 100 coffees a day or thereabouts.. should suit my needs nicely

I'll be keeping this one at Vastese Bakery, seeing as I'm going to be spending much of my time there from April onwards

Looking at plumbing it in eventually, with a 3M Water Softening unit used to prevent scale build-up in the boilers and improve the taste of the coffee of course!

Mine is still in the box, but here's one that someone prepared earlier

Also one of these..

Can't have a coffee machine without a grinder.. Mazzer Mini E Type A.

Where are you buying your Sanremo gear from? I've not seen it anywhere!
