I reckon bugger the Euro cars, the best place to own one of them is when living in Europe!

Stick with the Lib GT, it's twin scroll turbo, AWD, it's familiar ground to you and still one of the best bang for buck semi-lux cars out there! It's definitely my next ride when I finally grow up, or should I say move into stage 2 of my mid life crisis

tonnes of luxury cars will be closer to 65k by mid next year as fuel prices continue to increase i reckon, especially the turbo 6's & 8's.

Saab IMO are simply not there anymore.. just have a quick look at the dash and it will take you back to 90s driving around in a corolla.

Saabs are the worst for loosing money... and what ever you do dont buy an alfa they are really bad with snapping cam belts etc and Volswagen have the worst warranty to car ratio in the world which is 74 out of 100 goes back in the first 12 months for warranty repairs. Bmw's are excellent but have shit leather seats always crack and etc but great cars.. 300c diesel is the best... you will be shocked on how good they drive and the power or a str8 2nd hand, can show you some tricks on that car to get more performance and fun...and yes Volvo is another option... they have come along way with their cars

If your keen on doing some offroading go the foz! mineS never been bogged and tackled eveything ive thrown at it, 3FT deep mub, sand dunes, the beach, rocks (before i lowered it). And the performance of the XT with a few simple mods will chop most WRX's aswell.

i disagree about subaru being the best value for money tim, i reckon some of the line, particularly the outback and liberty are far too high in price for what they are. Subaru doesnt know how to finish a car properly when it comes to the interior, the carpets are usually shit and the features are somewhat outdated. i'd go with the 300c, best bang for buck with the features included.

just my 2 cents...
